Gifting & Local Delivery

Get the gift there on the right day. Everything else is decoration.

MeetOnChai Studio builds gifting and local delivery stores where the delivery promise is the product. We built Giftkdiu, a Nepal gifting store for cakes, flowers, chocolates and combo hampers, mostly ordered by Nepalis abroad sending something home. City-based delivery zones, time slots, eSewa, Khalti and WhatsApp ordering are all part of it.

The problem

What gets in the way in gifting & local delivery.

  1. 01

    The date is non-negotiable

A birthday cake that arrives a day late is a refund and a lost customer. Delivery date and time have to be clear before anyone pays.

  2. 02

Buyer and recipient are far apart

The person paying is often in another country, ordering for someone in Kathmandu or Dharan. Address, message and contact details for both have to be easy.

  3. 03

    Coverage isn't everywhere

You deliver to some cities and not others, with different cut-offs for each. Customers need to know before they fill the cart.

  4. 04

    Budgets are tight

Gift shops run on thin margins. An expensive custom platform that needs a developer on call doesn't make sense.

What we build

Software built for how this industry works.

  1. 01

    Delivery zones by city

Customers pick the delivery city up front and only see what can actually get there.

  2. 02

    Date and time-slot checkout

Delivery date and slot are chosen at checkout, so your team knows exactly when each order is due.

  3. 03

    Local and international payments

eSewa and Khalti for buyers in Nepal, with card options for diaspora buyers paying from abroad.

  4. 04

WhatsApp as a real order path

For customers who'd rather talk it through, WhatsApp ordering sits alongside checkout, not as a hidden afterthought.

  5. 05

    Combo hamper builder

Cakes, flowers and chocolates bundled into combos that are easy to browse and easy to fulfil.

  6. 06

    Stores you can run yourself

Built on a proven platform like WooCommerce so day-to-day updates don't need a developer.

FAQ

Gifting & Local Delivery questions.

What did you build for Giftkdiu?

An online gifting store for Nepal selling cakes, flowers, chocolates and combo hampers. It has city-based delivery across Kathmandu Valley, Itahari, Dharan, Biratnagar and Inaruwa, delivery date and time-slot selection, eSewa and Khalti payments, and WhatsApp ordering.

Why WooCommerce instead of a custom build?

The timeline and budget were both limited, and the store's needs fit a proven platform. That let the budget go into the flows that matter: delivery zones, time slots, local payments and WhatsApp. It's also simple to run without a developer on call.

Can customers abroad pay for delivery in Nepal?

Yes, that's who most gifting stores in Nepal serve. Local buyers pay with eSewa or Khalti, and we add card payments for diaspora customers. We'll help you pick a gateway that fits your business registration.

Can we limit delivery to certain cities and time slots?

Yes. Delivery cities and available slots are configured in the store, so customers only choose what you can actually fulfil. You can add a new city later without touching code.

Do you build delivery apps with live rider tracking?

We can, as a mobile app project, but most gift shops don't need it on day one. A clear delivery slot and a WhatsApp update usually do the job. We'd start there and add tracking when order volume justifies it.
