React development.
Interfaces that stay maintainable after the tenth feature request.
MeetOnChai Studio builds React interfaces for web apps, dashboards and marketplaces. WS Nepal, a B2B marketplace for Nepali suppliers, is a React and TypeScript single-page app, and our open-source ok.css library ships React exports. Every Next.js site we build is React underneath too.
Why we use it
Why React, and when not.
React is the most widely used UI library on the web, which matters more than it sounds. It means your next hire already knows it, every serious component library supports it, and nobody will ask you to rewrite it in three years because the framework died. For a business, that boring stability is the point.
We like it for the work itself, too. Components force us to break a screen into pieces that can be reasoned about and tested, which is what keeps a dashboard sane when it grows from five screens to fifty. React 19 and the React Compiler also take a lot of manual memoisation off the table, so the code stays readable without trading away speed.
When it's the wrong call: A content site with little interactivity does not need a client-side React app; plain HTML, Astro or WordPress will load faster and cost less. And if your public site needs to rank on Google, we will build it with Next.js rather than a bare React single-page app, because SEO on a pure client-rendered app is an uphill fight.
What we build
What we build with React.
- 01
Admin panels and dashboards
Data tables, filters, charts and role-based screens for the people who run your business every day.
- 02
Marketplaces
Category browsing, supplier profiles and enquiry flows, like the sourcing experience we built for WS Nepal.
- 03
Internal tools
Replacing spreadsheets and WhatsApp threads with a proper app for inventory, orders or approvals.
- 04
Design systems
A shared component library so every screen looks and behaves the same, and new pages get built from parts instead of from scratch.
- 05
Embedded widgets
Booking forms, calculators or configurators that drop into an existing site without rebuilding it.
- 06
Frontend rescues
Taking over a React codebase that has slowed to a crawl, finding what is causing it, and fixing it without a rewrite.

Honest comparison
React vs the alternatives.
vs Vue
A pleasant framework with a gentler learning curve. We choose React for the larger hiring pool and ecosystem, but would happily maintain a healthy Vue codebase rather than rewrite it.
vs Svelte
Smaller bundles and less boilerplate. The ecosystem and talent pool are smaller, which matters if your team has to own the code after we hand it over.
vs Angular
Strong for large enterprise teams that want strict structure built in. For startups and small teams, it is usually more ceremony than needed.

FAQ
React questions.
What is the difference between React and Next.js?
React is the library for building the interface. Next.js is a framework built on React that adds routing, server rendering, static generation and an API layer. If you need SEO or a public site, we use Next.js. For an app behind a login, plain React with Vite is often enough.
Can you take over our existing React app?
Yes. We start with a short code review to see what we are dealing with, then tell you honestly what to keep, what to refactor and what to leave alone. Rewrites are rarely the right answer, and we will not push one.
Do you write tests for React code?
We test the parts that would hurt if they broke: checkout, forms, permissions and anything involving money. That usually means component tests with Vitest and a few end-to-end flows in Playwright, not a coverage number for its own sake.
Will the app work well on cheap Android phones?
That is what we design for. Most of our users in Nepal and India are on mid-range Android over mobile data, so we watch bundle size, lazy-load heavy screens and test on real devices, not just a fast laptop.
Can React code be reused for a mobile app later?
Partly. Business logic, types, API clients and validation can be shared with a React Native app. The UI components themselves are different, since React Native renders native views, not HTML.
