Next.js development.

Fast pages, real SEO, and one codebase for your site and your app.

MeetOnChai Studio builds Next.js websites and web apps for businesses in Nepal, India and beyond. MangoMasti, Oryizon and Shwetrex Pharma all run on Next.js and TypeScript, deployed on Vercel. It is our default for anything that needs to rank on Google and load quickly on a mid-range phone over patchy 4G.

Why we use it

Why Next.js, and when not.

Next.js lets us decide, page by page, what gets built ahead of time and what runs on the server. A product catalog can be static and served from the edge, while the cart and account pages stay dynamic. For MangoMasti that meant variety pages that load almost instantly on phones, which is where nearly every order started.

It also keeps the whole thing in one place. Marketing pages, the product, API routes and server actions live in a single TypeScript codebase, so a small team can move fast without stitching three projects together. With the App Router, React Server Components and Cache Components, less JavaScript reaches the browser by default, which is good for both Core Web Vitals and your hosting bill.

When it's the wrong call: If your site is mostly content that changes once a month and nobody on your team writes code, a well-built WordPress site or a static site generator like Astro will be cheaper to run and easier to edit. Next.js also moves quickly, and keeping up with major versions is real maintenance work. If you only need a five-page brochure site, we will tell you Next.js is more machine than you need.

What we build

What we build with Next.js.

  1. 01

    E-commerce storefronts

Custom stores with catalog, cart and checkout, built for the payment methods your buyers actually use: UPI and COD in India, eSewa and Khalti in Nepal, cards and wallets everywhere else.

  2. 02

    Corporate and company websites

Structured, fast sites with product catalogues, enquiry flows and local SEO, like the one we built for Shwetrex Pharma in Bihar.

  3. 03

    SaaS dashboards

Authenticated apps with roles, billing and data-heavy screens, where server components keep the bundle small even as features grow.

  4. 04

    Marketing sites that rank

Static pages, proper metadata, structured data and sitemaps out of the box, so search engines and AI answer engines can read every page.

  5. 05

    MVPs with a backend included

Route handlers and server actions mean an early product can ship without a separate API service, then split one out when it actually needs to.

  6. 06

    Headless frontends

A fast Next.js frontend on top of an existing CMS or commerce backend, when the content team is happy where they are but the site is slow.

Honest comparison

Next.js vs the alternatives.

  • vs Remix / React Router

Excellent for form-heavy apps and closer to web standards. We pick Next.js when static generation, image optimisation and SEO matter more, which for most of our clients they do.

  • vs Astro

Better for content sites that are mostly static with a few interactive bits. Once you need accounts, carts or dashboards, Next.js usually wins.

  • vs Plain React (Vite)

Fine for internal tools behind a login where SEO does not matter. For anything public, you would end up rebuilding what Next.js already gives you.

FAQ

Next.js questions.

Is Next.js good for SEO?

Yes, when it is used properly. Pages can be rendered on the server or generated ahead of time, so search engines get full HTML instead of an empty shell. We also set up metadata, structured data, sitemaps and image optimisation as part of every build, because the framework only makes good SEO possible, it does not do it for you.

Do we have to host on Vercel?

No. Vercel is the easiest place to run Next.js and it is where our live projects sit, but Next.js also runs on AWS, a VPS or any Docker host. If you have a reason to self-host, such as data residency or an existing AWS account, we will set it up there.

Can you migrate our WordPress site to Next.js?

Yes. We either move the content into a headless CMS or keep WordPress as the backend and put a Next.js frontend in front of it. We map every old URL to its new one with redirects so you do not lose the rankings you already have.

Can Next.js handle payments in Nepal and India?

The framework does not care which gateway you use. We have integrated UPI, cards, net banking and COD for Oryizon in India, and we work with eSewa, Khalti, Stripe and Razorpay depending on where your customers are.

Which version of Next.js do you build on?

New projects start on the current stable release with the App Router. For older Pages Router projects we can maintain them as they are or plan an incremental upgrade, page by page, so nothing breaks in one big bang.
