Hire Next.js Developers

Senior Next.js developers who ship fast pages, clean server code and real SEO wins.

MeetOnChai Studio places Next.js developers on your product from Kathmandu, working your hours and pushing to your repo. They know the App Router, Server Components and caching well enough to make the right call, not just the trendy one. We have shipped Next.js storefronts and business sites for clients in Nepal and India, and you interview your developer before anything is signed.

  • Interview before you commitYou meet the developer and decide before any work starts.
  • You own the codeWork happens in your repository from day one. Code, designs and accounts are yours.
  • NDA before detailsWe sign your NDA, or ours, before you share anything sensitive.
  • Your hours, not oursOverlap with India, the Gulf and Europe is easy from GMT+5:45, and we flex for US mornings.

On your project

What they'll own.

  1. 01Build pages and features in the App Router, choosing server or client rendering per route instead of by habit
  2. 02Set up caching and revalidation so content updates show up quickly without hammering your database
  3. 03Wire in your CMS, payments and auth, and keep secrets on the server where they belong
  4. 04Hold the line on Core Web Vitals and fix regressions before they reach production
  5. 05Handle metadata, sitemaps and structured data so search engines understand every page
  6. 06Review pull requests, write the tests that matter and demo progress to you every week

Right role?

When this is the hire you need.

  1. 01

Your site lives or dies by search

Content sites, storefronts and marketing pages that need server rendering and solid SEO. If organic traffic matters, a Next.js developer beats a generic React hire.

  2. 02

One codebase for frontend and light backend

Server Actions and Route Handlers cover a lot of backend work. If your API needs are modest, you may not need a separate Node.js developer yet.

  3. 03

Not the pick for a heavy internal dashboard

A logged-in tool with no SEO needs can be simpler as a plain React app. Hire a React developer there and save the framework overhead.

How hiring works

From chai call to first commit.

  1. Step 1

    Chai call

We talk about your product, stack, team and what the developer needs to own.

  2. Step 2

    Profiles

You see matched profiles with relevant work, not a stack of CVs.

  3. Step 3

    Interview

You interview the developer and decide. Nothing starts until you're sure.

  4. Step 4

    Start

NDA signed, access set up, work happens in your repo. Weekly demos from then on.

Engagement models

Hire one developer, a pod, or a project.

Pick the one that matches how certain you are about scope. We'll recommend one on the first call, and you can switch later.

  • Well-defined MVPs, stores and websites

    Fixed-scope project

We agree the scope, the price and the milestones up front. You pay per milestone, and scope changes are quoted before they happen, never after.

    • Fixed price per milestone
    • Written scope with what's in and out
    • Best when you know what v1 is
  • Ongoing products and growing startups

    Dedicated developer or team

One developer or a small pod works on your product full time, inside your tools and rituals. You set priorities; we handle the people, reviews and quality.

    • Monthly engagement
    • Your backlog, your sprint rituals
    • Scale up or down with notice
  • Evolving products and discovery work

    Time & materials

You pay for the hours actually spent, tracked against a sprint budget. Good when the problem is still being shaped and flexibility matters more than a fixed number.

    • Sprint budgets, not blank cheques
    • Weekly time reports
    • Change direction any sprint

FAQ

Hiring next.js developers: questions.

Can your Next.js developer migrate us from the Pages Router to the App Router?

Yes. We usually migrate route by route, since both routers can run side by side. That keeps the site live the whole time and lets you ship improvements along the way instead of waiting on one big switch.

Do we have to host on Vercel?

No. Vercel is the easiest path, but Next.js runs fine on AWS, a VPS or Cloudflare with the right setup. Your developer will tell you honestly what you gain and lose with each option.

Will a Next.js developer actually improve our SEO?

They fix the technical side: rendering, speed, metadata, structured data and crawlability. That removes what is holding you back. Content and links are still your job, and we will say so plainly.

Can they work inside our existing Next.js codebase?

That is the usual case. Your developer spends the first days reading the code, running it locally and asking questions, then starts with small fixes before taking on bigger features.

Can the same developer build our backend too?

For CRUD, forms, webhooks and payments, yes, inside Next.js itself. For heavy background jobs, queues or a public API used by mobile apps, we would suggest adding a Node.js developer.
