Hire React Native Developers
One codebase, two stores, and apps that still feel native on a mid-range Android.
MeetOnChai Studio places React Native developers who build iOS and Android apps from a single TypeScript codebase and test them on real devices, not only simulators. They handle the store side too: signing, builds, review notes and rejections. You interview them first, they work your hours from Kathmandu, and every build lands in your own accounts.
- Interview before you commitYou meet the developer and decide before any work starts.
- You own the codeWork happens in your repository from day one. Code, designs and accounts are yours.
- NDA before detailsWe sign your NDA, or ours, before you share anything sensitive.
- Your hours, not oursOverlap with India, the Gulf and Europe is easy from GMT+5:45, and we flex for US mornings.

- Over-the-air updates with EAS Update
Practices
- Real-device testing on iOS and Android
- App Store and Play Store submission
- Performance tuning for low-end devices

On your project
What they'll own.
- 01Build screens and flows that feel right on both platforms, respecting iOS and Android conventions where they differ
- 02Wire up push notifications, deep links, camera, location and payments
- 03Make the app usable on slow or patchy networks with sensible caching and offline states
- 04Test every build on physical phones, including older and mid-range Android devices
- 05Manage signing, builds and store submissions, and handle review rejections
- 06Ship over-the-air fixes for JavaScript bugs and demo new builds to you every week
Right role?
When this is the hire you need.
- 01
You need iOS and Android without two teams
Most product apps share nearly all their logic and screens across platforms. One React Native developer covers both, which keeps cost and coordination down.
- 02
You already have a React or TypeScript web team
React Native shares the language and mental model, so code, types and people move between web and mobile more easily than with Flutter or native.
- 03
Go native for heavy device work
If your app is built around AR, advanced audio or video processing, or deep hardware access, a Swift or Kotlin developer is the honest recommendation.
How hiring works
From chai call to first commit.
- Step 1
Chai call
We talk about your product, stack, team and what the developer needs to own.
- Step 2
Profiles
You see matched profiles with relevant work, not a stack of CVs.
- Step 3
Interview
You interview the developer and decide. Nothing starts until you're sure.
- Step 4
Start
NDA signed, access set up, work happens in your repo. Weekly demos from then on.
Engagement models
Hire one developer, a pod, or a project.
Pick the one that matches how certain you are about scope. We'll recommend one on the first call, and you can switch later.
Well-defined MVPs, stores and websites
Fixed-scope project
We agree the scope, the price and the milestones up front. You pay per milestone, and scope changes are quoted before they happen, never after.
- Fixed price per milestone
- Written scope with what's in and out
- Best when you know what v1 is
Ongoing products and growing startups
Dedicated developer or team
One developer or a small pod works on your product full time, inside your tools and rituals. You set priorities; we handle the people, reviews and quality.
- Monthly engagement
- Your backlog, your sprint rituals
- Scale up or down with notice
Evolving products and discovery work
Time & materials
You pay for the hours actually spent, tracked against a sprint budget. Good when the problem is still being shaped and flexibility matters more than a fixed number.
- Sprint budgets, not blank cheques
- Weekly time reports
- Change direction any sprint

FAQ
Hiring react native developers: questions.
Can a React Native developer also handle the backend?
Many of ours write Node.js comfortably and can build a simple API alongside the app. For a backend with real complexity, we would pair them with a dedicated Node.js developer so the app does not slow down.
Expo or bare React Native?
Expo for almost every new app in 2026. It now supports custom native code through config plugins and dev builds, so the old reasons to eject rarely apply. Your developer will flag it if your app is an exception.
Will the app feel native?
Yes, when it is built properly. React Native renders real native components, and with Reanimated the animations run on the UI thread. Most users cannot tell the difference.
Can they take over an app another team built?
Yes. They start with an audit: dependency versions, build setup, crash reports and the riskiest screens. You get a plain list of what to fix first before any new features go in.
Who owns the App Store and Play Store accounts?
You do. The apps are published under your developer accounts, and we work as invited team members. If we part ways, nothing needs transferring.
Every project starts with a conversation

- We reply within 24 hours, usually much sooner.
- NDA signed before you share the details.
- Based in Kathmandu, working with Nepal, India and worldwide.
