B2B & Wholesale Marketplaces
Help business buyers find suppliers they can actually trust.
MeetOnChai Studio builds B2B marketplaces and wholesale portals for sourcing, not impulse buying. We built WS Nepal, a marketplace connecting businesses with verified Nepali suppliers across agriculture, herbs, handicrafts, apparel and more. The work is less about the cart and more about trust, structure and getting the right enquiry to the right supplier.
The problem
What gets in the way in b2b & wholesale marketplaces.
- 01
Buyers can't tell who's legitimate
Sourcing from a new market is a risk. Without visible verification, serious buyers stay on the platforms they already know.
- 02
Wildly different categories
Herbs, handicrafts and apparel have nothing in common except the marketplace. Browsing has to feel organised across all of them.
- 03
B2B doesn't check out like B2C
Quantities, samples, pricing tiers and terms are negotiated. A consumer-style buy button gets ignored or, worse, creates messy orders.
- 04
Two sides to grow at once
Buyers come for suppliers and suppliers come for buyers. Onboarding has to be easy on both sides or the marketplace stays empty.
What we build
Software built for how this industry works.
- 01
Category-led marketplaces
Information architecture that makes very different product categories easy to scan and compare.
- 02
Verified supplier profiles
Profiles where verification status, location and capabilities are front and centre, not a badge buried in a footer.
- 03
Sourcing enquiry flows
Structured enquiries that capture quantity, timeline and requirements, so suppliers can quote without a dozen follow-ups.
- 04
Supplier onboarding and admin
Back-office tools to review, approve and manage supplier listings as the marketplace grows.
- 05
Wholesale ordering portals
For established suppliers: logged-in buyers, price lists and repeat orders built as a proper web app.
- 06
Fast, searchable listings
Quick single-page browsing with category and supplier pages that search engines can index.

Trust & compliance
What we design around from day one.
Verification you can stand behind
We build verification as a real workflow with documents and review steps, so a "verified" badge means something specific and you can explain how it was earned.
Clear marketplace terms
Buyer and supplier terms, privacy policy and dispute contacts are published and accepted at signup, so everyone knows who is responsible for what.

FAQ
B2B & Wholesale Marketplaces questions.
What's different about building a B2B marketplace?
Buyers are sourcing, not shopping. They care about supplier credibility, minimum quantities and terms more than a fast checkout. So we design around profiles, verification and enquiries first, and add transactions where they make sense.
What did you build for WS Nepal?
A B2B marketplace connecting businesses with verified Nepali suppliers across agriculture, herbs, handicrafts, apparel and more. It's built around categories, supplier profiles with verification up front, and sourcing enquiries designed for business buyers. It runs as a fast React single-page app on Vercel.
Do B2B buyers need to pay online through the marketplace?
Often not at first. Many wholesale deals are negotiated, so an enquiry and quote flow is the honest starting point. If you want online payments, deposits or invoicing later, we add them without rebuilding.
How do you handle supplier verification?
We build it as a workflow: suppliers submit details and documents, your team reviews them in an admin panel, and approved suppliers get a visible status. The rules are yours. The software makes them consistent.
Can you build a private wholesale portal for our existing buyers?
Yes. That's a smaller, simpler build than an open marketplace: logged-in buyers, their price lists, and repeat ordering. We'd scope it as a web app with an MVP first.
