E-commerce & Retail

Stores built around how your customers already like to pay.

MeetOnChai Studio builds online stores for retail brands in Nepal, India and beyond, custom on Next.js or on WooCommerce when that's the smarter call. We've shipped stores that take UPI and cash on delivery in India, eSewa and Khalti in Nepal, and orders straight into WhatsApp. MangoMasti, Oryizon, Giftkdiu and WS Nepal are all live.

The problem

What gets in the way in e-commerce & retail.

  1. 01

Checkout doesn't match how people pay

A card-only checkout loses Indian shoppers who want UPI or COD and Nepali shoppers who live in eSewa and Khalti. The payment step is where most carts quietly die.

  2. 02

    Phones on slow networks

Most orders come from mid-range Android phones on patchy 4G. A store that looks great on a laptop and crawls on mobile is a store that doesn't sell.

  3. 03

Strangers don't trust a new brand

First-time buyers look for returns, certifications and a real human before they pay. If those answers are buried three clicks deep, they leave.

  4. 04

    Platform picked before the problem

Some brands overbuild a custom store for a standard catalog. Others cram a custom ordering flow into a plugin that fights them every day. Both get expensive.

What we build

Software built for how this industry works.

  1. 01

    Custom Next.js storefronts

When the ordering flow is the product, like combo builders or WhatsApp checkout, we build it custom so nothing is bent around a template.

  2. 02

    WooCommerce stores that stay simple

Standard products and standard checkout? A proven platform gets you live faster and is easy to run without a developer on call.

  3. 03

    Local payment gateways

UPI, cards, net banking and COD in India. eSewa and Khalti in Nepal. Stripe or Razorpay for international buyers. Picked by where your customers are.

  4. 04

    WhatsApp ordering

For markets where a conversation closes the sale, the cart hands a fully formatted order to WhatsApp so your team can confirm it in one reply.

  5. 05

    Trust built into the page

Return policies, certifications and delivery promises placed exactly where buyers hesitate, not hidden in the footer.

  6. 06

    Ongoing store care

Season updates, new products, plugin and dependency updates, and fixes when something breaks. You run the shop, we keep it running.

Features & integrations

The pieces we usually wire in.

  • Product catalog with variants and filters
  • Cart, accounts and order tracking
  • UPI, cards, net banking and COD
  • eSewa and Khalti payments
  • WhatsApp checkout handoff
  • Inventory and shipping calculation
  • Returns and refund flow
  • Mobile-first, statically generated pages

Trust & compliance

What we design around from day one.

  • Card data stays with the gateway

We design checkouts so card details are handled by the payment gateway's hosted fields or pages, which keeps PCI DSS scope with the provider rather than your server.

  • Clear policies before payment

Returns, refunds, shipping and contact details are published and linked from checkout, which buyers expect and payment gateways usually ask for at onboarding.

FAQ

E-commerce & Retail questions.

Should my store be custom-built or on WooCommerce?

If you sell standard products with a standard checkout, WooCommerce is cheaper to build and run, and that's what we'll recommend. If your ordering flow is the selling point, like a combo builder or delivery slots by city, custom Next.js usually pays for itself. We built Giftkdiu on WooCommerce and MangoMasti custom, for exactly those reasons.

Can you add UPI, COD, eSewa or Khalti to my store?

Yes. Oryizon takes UPI, cards, net banking and cash on delivery in India, and Giftkdiu takes eSewa and Khalti in Nepal. For international buyers we use Stripe or Razorpay.

Is WhatsApp checkout a real option or a gimmick?

For some markets it's the better checkout. MangoMasti's customers already trusted WhatsApp, so their cart builds a ready-to-confirm order message instead of a payment form. It's not right for every store, and we'll tell you if yours isn't one of them.

Can you redesign my existing store without losing orders or SEO?

Yes. We keep URLs or redirect them properly, migrate products and customers, and launch with a rollback plan. The old store keeps selling until the new one is ready.

Who looks after the store after launch?

Bug fixes are included for 30 days after launch. After that you can take a monthly maintenance plan or call us on demand. Either way you get the docs and access, so you're never locked in.
